video converter in Fedora

I am using Fedora 19 and I will upgrade to Fedora 20 in future. I have several videos I want to convert. I tried every possible solution I find on internet. I see Mobile Media Converter useful when I was using Ubuntu. There is only deb package available on their website. I found rpm package of their old version, but it didn't worked properly. I also find converting method from VLC media player but the converter file didn't worked in my mobile. Is there any better option or tell me if I can install Mobile Media Converter's latest package and face no problem while converting videos.
If there is any better option then please let me know about it.

IF you want users to use these packages, why not include them in RPMFusion or Fedora so that everyone can use them without having to install other third party repos/packages. How are users going to get updates to these packages if they install them off single rpm files?

Hi: ffmpeg and you don't need anything else.

For batch converting you can use something like

for file in *.mp4; do 
  ffmpeg -y -v quiet -i "$file" -target ntsc-dvd "$file".avi; 
done

Adjusting your target or any other parameter as you need.

I second ffmpeg. I have a page dealing with various types of media conversion that some folks have found useful. http://home.roadrunner.com/~computertaijutsu/dvds.html with some hopefully helpful links on it, such as one to the media matrix.

HandBrake is one GUI option.

Please take a look at HandBrake Video Transcoder. I use it myself and find it to be one of the best for Linux. (Taken from https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Slaanesh (Fedora Wiki)).

Installation process:

Run as root to add repos: wget http://negativo17.org/repos/fedora-handbrake.repo -O \ /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-handbrake.repo
Run as root to install: yum install HandBrake-gui HandBrake-cli
