Hi, I currently cannot find a good tutorial on how to install the radeon 7700 graphics driver on fedora 19. I see that some people use the Catalyst to install drivers, but before using Fedora I had CentOS and I did not need that, I was able to get the driver working fine using some terminal commands. If anyone could help me get a solution to installing this driver I would be very thankful and overjoyed. Thanks

The propritary driver is not stable at the moment. Actually is doesn't work for me, because it killed my X and I needed to a lot of work make it work again.

You should use the free drivers until the release final version for the latest Xorg.

And you should always use a RPM package to savely remove and update your driver.

I have the AMD Radeon HD 7240g chip, and while the open Radeon driver works great for 2D, it works very poorly with 3D acceleration.

I'm using the Catalyst (akmod-catalyst) packages from RPM Fusion, and now I have working 3D. I wish I didn't have to do it, but this is what's working for me now.
