Can't see my desktop bar
First of all, sorry i'm not english native.
I'm new at this wide, really wide linux universe, so i asked to some people wich distro i should try, and they recommended me Fedora 19.So here's what i did.
-Acer aspire one(netbook)
-Intel Atom @1.33 GHz
-Main OS: Windows 7(don't know if it is useful to know)
-RAM: 2 GB
-Fedora partition: 20 GB
-Swap area: 1 GB
I've tried to install fedora two time already, and i've gotten the same result.
The result: The OS starts and show me the login screen, i enter my user and password and everything looks just fine, right after i press the login button or the enter key it doesn't do anything. If i wait a while i get a black screen just like terminal an something appears like if it was running or starting Thanks.

Can you please describe the result, and compare it to the expected result?
Maybe take a screenshot, but if you can't navigate through your OS, that might be hard. If all fails, take a picture with a camera and upload it on an other computer. Here is some free karma to post a link to it.
well i tried to add some images but i dont know why they didnt appear
try
Alt+F2
thengnome-shell --replace
. If Alt-F2 doesn't bring up the command box, doCtl+Alt+F2
, log in, then runDISPLAY=:0 gnome-shell --replace
- that might help. While you are there, runlspci | grep VGA
and let us know what it says; these problems are sometimes video device related. Can you try uploading them to an other website, like imgur?
You may also want to try to create a new user from the command line (Press Ctrl+Alt + F4, and log in there) to see if the problem persists.
