You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

skip broken will skip them because of dependancy problems, what shall I do to resolve this issue and any idea on why it happened in the first place?

It seems you are correct sir! I dont know how to do any of those things (but a google on it might do it now that I know what to search for) however starting the computer now and doing a yum update solves it, so whatever it was it fixed itself by giving it some time :D

Looks like the mirror is not in sync yet, I've seen this before. If you have the fastest mirror plug-in installed try to disable it and retry. You could also get yum to clean up meta-data and re-run the update process.

As i stated in the question itself that will skip them due to dependancy problems, it does not solve the issue however as they still pop up in update runs afterwards as things that need updating
