Without reinstalling Fedora, what is it that I must do to change the greeter/login screen from the single line with password, to the clickable user list-name and password?

See this page for configuring KDM - http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kde-workspace/kdm/configuring-kdm.html

As far as I know, KDM can be configured to show user list. In the above linked page, click on users and it shows how to enable this.

Hope this helps.

If you're trying to change the login manager, the answer he tells you how to do it:

https://ask.fedoraproject.org/question/27163/cant-use-kdm-instead-of-gdm/?answer=27170#post-id-27170

However, I'd recommend just configuring kdm to suit your needs since installing gdm will pull in quite a few libraries.
