Hi folks,

I'm not able to adjust the display brightness in Open-box fedora 19, since i have KDE too, i can see the KDE System setting in the menu of openbox, when i try to open the setting, i got the following error messages.

Power Management configuration module could not be loaded. The power Management Service appears not to be running, This can be solved by starting or scheduling it inside '' Startup and Shutdown''

Please let me know how to configure the power management in openbox and i saw in some website that Openbox does not load power management by default - we must load it, or configure it to load in autostart.sh.

Thanks in advance.

Try xbacklight which talk directly to XRandR (X11 ext.) (yum install xbacklight):

Increase the brightness: xbacklight -inc 5

Decrease the brightness: xbacklight -dec 5

A better way is to bind XF86MonBrightnessUp and XF86MonBrightnessDown to the previous commands. [1]
