Unfortunately that doesn't fix it for me. I have the same problem - after login,
just get a dark blue screen and the Fedora logo, never get a session. This is
when I use fedup to upgrade from F18.
However running the Live CD for F19 does work correctly, gives me a session.
So presumably the hardware is supported.
I also tried making a new user account, in case something in my environment
screws it up. But that gave the same results.
Also if I install to hard drive from the live CD I get the same problem. So
I'm having to go back to F18 until there is some resolution of this problem.
(several hours later) after reading the comments on bug 955779 I installed kdm and
system-switch-displaymanager and changed the display manager to KDM. Now I have a
usable system. Note: installing kdb drags in an awful lot of stuff - I should
have tried one of the simpler display managers.
This sounds a lot like you're hitting https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=955779 - you might want to follow that.
