Wine not appearing in Open with Application list on fedora 19

Hi, I used to have the same issue, the only "simple" way I found to deal with it is to create a .desktop file in /usr/share/applications with this content:

[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=Wine
Comment=Wine Windows Program Loader
Exec=wine %U
Terminal=false
Type=Application
Icon=wine
Categories=Application;Utility;
MimeType=application/x-ms-dos-executable;
StartupNotify=true
NoDisplay=false

After creating that file wine should be listed in the "open with..." list when you try to open a .exe file. The only problem with this method is that this "fake" launcher will be shown on the list of programs, I just added a NoDisplay=true flag to the .desktop file after choosing it as my default program to open .exe files to get around that.

There's another method I know of which involves modifying mime-types but it was a bit too much for me.

Edit "/usr/share/applications/defaults.list" file. It must contain the following line:

application/x-ms-dos-executable=wine.desktop;

wine is command line, you should install GUIs like q4wine.
