Can I make gnome open google calendar instead of evolution mail?

I'd rather it linked to www.google.com/calendar or a google calendar application if there is one. Evolution mail just doesn't do it justice.

Click the time at the top center -> Open Calendar -> Google Calendar???

Someone could write an extension for that, instead you can create a web application from your browser, and sign in to your Google account in Online Accounts and all calendar entries will be available in date/time drop-down menu.
