Fedora 17 external USB drives not mounted
My Fedora 17 - Gnome system has stopped mounting external USB hard disks. They would mount just fine until the last round of patches were applied, not saying the patch was the cause but the problem was noticed after the patch was applied. The messages file has the following entries:
[ 4438.117121] usb 1-5.1: new high-speed USB device number 54 using ehci-pci
[ 4453.184856] usb 1-5.1: device descriptor read/64, error -110
[ 4468.353565] usb 1-5.1: device descriptor read/64, error -110
[ 4468.527463] usb 1-5.1: new high-speed USB device number 55 using ehci-pci
[ 4483.595219] usb 1-5.1: device descriptor read/64, error -110
running "lsusb" does not show the drive.
One item of note, the problem is with hard drives, flash drives auto mount just fine. Thanks in advance for your efforts
