Running GNOME 3.6.3, after attaching/opening USB flash drive (Micro sd -> SD adapter -> USB reader), trying to copy files, usb drives keeps dropping/going offline.

Unable to keep flash drive mounted during copy.

Issue is during using Fedora 18 not due to installation. Fedora 18 was installed using fedup, and running just fine, same hardware when hooked to XP64 doesn't have this issue, drive stays connected the whole time, can copy from without the drives getting dropped or any I/O errors, Fedora acts different.

I still think it's software.

Fedup means you upgraded from Fedora 17. Did you clean up your system afterwords? Is it up to date?

This seems more like a hardware issue than a software issue. Please try using a Fedora 18 live CD and see if this behaviour persists.

Maybe this will help diagnosing the issue, After copy starts and copies 113 files out of 5414 copy stops and I see the following is in detail error: There was an error copying the file into /run/media/t/XPDATA/Ayat/audio/warshdossary128kbps/10. Error splicing file: Input/output error
