Im running Fedora 18. Does anybody know a way to stop gnome network manager from tethering with the iPhone, when I plug my phone in to charge Gnome will automatically switch to using the iPhone as its WAN interface, thus not only slowing my net speed but disconnecting from my network resources.

Okay I figured this out,

With your iPhone plugged in.

Click on the network manager icon go to Network Settings click on the wired network that refers to your iPhone, then click options then in the general tab uncheck Automatically connect to this network when its available nice and easy.
