Hi, in a large Fedora deployment, where users should be able to install packages from the repository without root password, which should be the easiest way to achieve this? It looks like it was almost enabled by default (see Bugzilla #534047) but later removed. The problem is that the instructions there to enable don't work anymore because the polkit package is now newer.

You can give users root access without giving them the root password. They would use their own password.

Look into "sudo". I think it is enabled on by default in recent versions of Fedora (Ubuntu has been a sudo advocate for a while).

All you would have to do is add users to the "wheel" group.
