When i try installing fedora 18 it says Automatic partition failure : no free space but i have free unallocated space tinypic.com/r/3462vf6/5) and when i try manually try i'm not able to create more that 1 partition like i can create /boot after that when i try swap it says failure no free space i want to preserve my win 7 data so i re sized two partitions in win7 and unallocated the free space for fedora in my laptop

thnx in advance

How large are you keeping /boot? It could be because linux only permits 3 primary partitions (I think). After that, one must use extended partitions. It still shouldn't error out though. Any chance of a screenshot of the installer error please?

Do you get an error that tells you there is no free space and then present you with options about how to proceed or did you get an unrecoverable error? In the simplest case, the installer will tell you there is not enough free space if you have selected too much software to install -or- if the free space region you set up is unusable to us in Linux.

As the previous indicated, some screen shots of the installer would be helpful. If you know how to collect a log file from the installer, gathering /tmp/anaconda.log would be really useful.
