It seems netdisco package hasn't modified in last versions of Fedora (it uses ifconfig, it doesn't use systemd, etc). But it remains available in official repositories. I would like to know if someone has tried (and achieved) a successful installation and configuration of this program.

Note: There are good few bugs opened in Bugzilla about this issue, but it seems nobody cares.

I have never even heard of netdisco, however I can provide some insight on the package management process in Fedora.

If a package has many bugs that are not dealt with by the package maintainer, the proper thing to do is to offer your help with the package.

If the package maintainer is completely unresponsive, then we also have a way of dealing with that.
