Do you use routers?

No. it is connected to a hub directly, then to a modem and then through cable TV to the internet provider.

Have you tried connecting directly to the modem?

Is network is connecting and pages are not opening? Then it may be DNS issue.

I wrote "ping" and it wrote "ping: unknown host". I will try to restart the modem.

Are you using a wired connection, or wireless? Wireless is known to have problems with some machines. If it's wireless, see my answer here.

If it's wired, then troubleshooting will be more difficult. Can you ping your router?

It is wired. I will try to ping, but I use the same network cable to my desktop computer and on the desktop's it works.
