After i installed fedora18 with a network installing cd i got after rebooting first time,a screen full of small stripes, and that remains till you shutoff. The small cursor that turns around also stops and before there was a short time apearing message saying fast TSC calibration failed. i redownloaded and burned the network instalation cd but with the same result... When touching right arrow when booting booting stops on ...;-starting accounts service- also in fedora 17 i had a boot (same) problem with a 3.7 kernel i used the previes kernel till the next kernel update wich had no problems, now with the new 3.8 kernel i have the same problem(in fed17) hardware -N68-S asrock motherboard -scaleoview -1 model WOZA FUJITSU-SIEMENS lcd monitor

please some advice.

When it boots, please press the right arrow key and view the verbose boot process. See where it gets stuck and let us know. We'll try to proceed from there.

Haven't run into this. Can you please update your system with information on what hardware you're using?

I'm guessing something went wrong during the installation. The 'fast TSC calibration failed error' doesn't mean anything. It's a vestigial error. If possible, please look at some logs: /var/log/messges , dmesg. Also, it would be better to actually add the information to your question description rather than comments. It makes it easier for someone looking at this first time to understand your issue if he doesn't have to follow the entire comment chain.
