I'm thinking about the right to comment on answers which are given to their own question.
In your first question, when somebody answers you, but the suggestion didn't work, you cannot reply to the suggestion. Instead, users tend to create an answer of there own, which leads to confusion in the end.
When closing a question, you have to select a reason, which is good, but recently I was missing one particular reason:
For some questions further input is required to solve the problem, and without the question owner it is impossible to continue.

Well, I just checked and there isn't a special setting for commenting on one's own posts yet. However, the threshold is 10, which one can gain by something as simple as an upvote to the asked question. Therefore, if you ask someone for details, you can reward them by upvoting their question and in the process give them commenting rights.
Yes people have to get the habit to upvote a question that is answering. And in general to upvote questions.
+1 for more accessible comments. -1 for "user is no longer interested in answer" questions and answers benefit more than just the original user. Even in cases where an incidental problem needs logs or error message, usage of such a close reason would reinforce the practice of asking a new question every time instead of looking for existing answers.
I'm not admin here but we love to have some localized size to serve better people on other languages.
@aeperezt: I've already told you this needs an askbot update. If you're willing to help out, please contact us on the infra list. This requires packing up a git snapshot and updating all dependencies to django 1.4 as far as I remember. This is a lot of work and I do not have cycles to cover this by myself. Any help is welcome, as usual.

I'm not an admin here, but I do have a feature request:
Ask Fedora is proving to be a great resource for user support. Along the way, I think we have an opportunity not only solve the users' problems, but to guide them in best practices. Some answers may work, but just aren't the best way - the obvious examples of disabling SELinux or firewalls come to mind.
Providing a mechanism for trusted contributors to make a distinction between functional and optimal solutions adds to the quality of the site as a whole. Comprehensive answers can more reliably be referenced when marking questions as duplicates or as references, cutting down on confusion and clutter. Users can be more confident following an answer, with the knowledge that the solution has been verified to some degree and stamped with some kind of authority.
Some badging could be added around the concept, to provide incentive for writing quality answers.
The answer from Bucic does address the same issue - quality control - just in a different way. Putting a stamp of approval on an answer is positive reinforcement, and deleting bad advice is negative reinforcement. I think they are both good ways to improve the quality of the site. Upvoting or downvoting provides the same kinds of reinforcement, but would really require a lot more participation to be effective.
Any 'certification' would be obsolete if the the voting had worked like intended i.e. if we'd put more pressure on voting. Why? Because answers from trusted contributors would have few times more votes than sloppy answers and bad or even harmful answers, which could easily be left there hanging with negative votes. Authors of such answers should remove them themselves not to get more negative votes. Voting encouragement is the key to many issues with ask.fedora.
I think there's plenty of encouragement to vote. People not doing it is a completely different story. How many of your 50 votes per day do you use?
@FranciscoD_ Every time is see a valuable answer (even if not THE answer) or even a comment. What encouragement? I know of none. Once you acquired basic rights there's no need to. I do it because I come from askubuntu, however weird it may sound :) Also, there are answers with 4,000+ views and 3 upvotes or so. I personally don't need any other evidence that voting does not work.
Auto close of questions that have not been answered in a few years, more than likely that person has moved on from their problem or has figured out a solution elsewhere.

I'm not an admin here too but I just want to know how far have those feature requests being worked out?
Just comparing with stackexchange with askbot I can understand that the last is simpler although doesn't loose its efficiency.
What is missing in tagging?
30 karma is required to post clickable links and 10 to insert links as plain text. This is designed to limit link spamming by new users and makes sense to me.
You need 5 karma to flag a question which can be earned when you earn an upvote, either on a comment or on a question.
@FranciscoD_ thanks for the explanation You made the things more clear to me. Altough I would like to post links at once 10 requirement is reasonable. There are so many more options here but I am starting to get the big picture. The only thing that remains is flagging is just about offensive stuff? Can I flag regarding bad question formulation ? Or questions that have answers but answer is in comments?
Flagging is generally to be used for spam etc. In other cases, you can convert comments to answers and vice versa when you have enough karma. If you don't have the karma, please comment asking folks to use the correct places for comments and answers. I do run around converting comments to answers and vice versa but itll be nice if more folks with enough karma would do it too. It's something I expect to happen in good time.
Question2Answer (http://www.question2answer.org/) is better than Askbot, Askbot is very slow, poor management of karma; new users can not post a screenshot, if you do not have enough karma. with limit online users. sorry but it is ugly...

Above all - quality control through moderation. The quality of, especially, questions is disastrous when compared to askubuntu.com, often not in English. People post obsolete comments and don't use voting at all. An answer with over thousand views typically has one or two upvotes.
that why I wrote this question -> #8160, the problem is simple but complicate at the same time (we have some hit and run user) this type of user doesn't mind is he/she have to vote up or down they only want and answer and a solution for their problem, that is inevitable .. but we have to educate in some way first.
