First of all, I'm very new to Linux and am trying to load the Fedora 18 spin Desin Suite via CD boot, but it asks for a password. When I click "Not Listed" it still asks me for a password. I have already been successful with Ubuntu and regular Fedora 18 loading from CD, but think Design Suite is the best choice for me. This may sound ignorant and at first I didn't think you had to, but do you have to install Fedora 18 before installing the Spin? I'm really interested in trying this out, but can't get it to proceed further. Any help?

Not sure if or how to do a screenshot from a this start up CD. I've downloaded it in 32 bit for my old computer I'm giving to my son and 64 bit for my new computer. Both are asking for sign in and will not let me get past that screen even if I press enter or leave it bland.

Both Ubuntu and Fedora 18 load, but Design Suite won't. Tried installing the Fedora 18 disk. When it comes to the sign in screen, the password field is already filled with: Live System User. I tried this on the Design Suite spin, but still no luck.

Yea, that's a weird login screen. Yuck.

To log in, click the "user not listed" button, type root in the box, then press Enter.

I'm trying to install the spin Design Suite, however, once I boot the CD, it is asking me for a password and gives me a choice to enter one or click not listed. I can not get past this screen. Thank you for trying to help. Hope to find an answer.

That doesn't sound like an install CD. Where did you download it from? Try again from here: http://spins.fedoraproject.org/design/#downloads

Thanks Thomas. That's exactly where I downloaded it. IT was the direct download for 32 & 64 bit. Maybe something happened in the download process? Thanks for helping.

Can you try to just ignore the password, i.e., leave it blank and hit enter and see what it does? It's a live image.

Hello Tina, I am the new maintainer of Design Suite and I am very sorry for the issue related Design Suite release 18. At that time, I obtained that responsibility after the release and it was too late to properly solve the problems which were also present on Live Desktop. Fedora 19 Design Suite is now available with resolved problems but requires either a 2GB pendrive or a DVD. Please give a try and the next version of Design Suite will bring more improvments.
