Fedora 28 Random system freezes

I'm running an ASUS Intel I5 system that I have had for several years. The system randomly feezes (crashes), ie. not able to wake screen or screen breaks into rotating small bars that flash. The only way I've found to recover the system is a hard power reset. This occurs when the system is idle or when I'm actively using the system. Once recovered the system logs show no activity; sar just stops showing activity. This has been happening across multiple kernel releases going back to at least Fedora 22, but it has become much worse. Currently running Fedora 218 with Kernel 5.0.7-100 and the system hasn't stayed up for a full 2 days since I ran update to this kernel.

Anyone else seen this type of behavior?? Also any suggestion as to what may be happening? I thought it was related to Firefox since it happened a couple of time while Firefox was active but it happens just as much with only a live terminal session running.

It might be related to GPU driver. Update your question with inxi -SMGxxxz output.
