Compiz configuration question for Fedora 29
Hi, I wondered if there were some recommended guides / instructions relating to configuring Compiz for Fedora? I'm on Fedora 29.
I've installed Compiz and have recorded keystrokes for, for example, rotating cube (the usual), but I'm not having much luck seeing the animation.
In terminal I typed ...
lscpi |grep VGA
... to check my graphics card and got in return ...
VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09)
... if anyone can interpret that?
Many thanks in advance.
You might want to check out the Compiz Forum. I don't know if it's still active, but if nothing else, you might find what you need by searching the old posts.
Thank you for the help, I shall take a look (doesn't look active, but the answer might well be in there).
I'm presently on a decade old HP using F29 LXDE. Using "lspci" (not lscpi) outputs: VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller (primary) (rev 03). I have Compiz, Cairo-dock, and Emerald installed. After clicking the Composite-Manager in the dock, CTRL+ALT+LEFT/RIGHT changes desktop using the rotating cube. Is that what is meant by "recorded keystrokes"? Please clarify the question and information, what is the DE. Yes, i know the question concerns guides/instructions; but, after a search, I found plenty of material on the net.
