You should restart:

As far as I know, it's never a bad idea to reboot after update. It isn't always needed, but it's never harmful. So if you have time and in doubt -- just reboot and be done with it.

Also, you really, really, really should remove flash packages. Flash is riddled with vulnerabilities, crashes Firefox and can cause more problems on your system.

I haven't installed flash on my Fedora boxes for about three years (at least!) now, and I'm perfectly happy without it. Most of the videos or apps on the web nowadays use html5, not flash.

And if you really-really can't live without flash, I'd suggest install google chrome. It has flash plugin built-in and contained, without compromising your entire system. Then you can use Firefox for your day-to-day browsing, and use Chrome whenever you need to use flash content.
