e1000e Detected Hardware Unit Hang after 4.20.16 Kernel

I need to downgrade my kernel to 4.20.15 after foolishly removing the old kernel after reboot. Is this possible and what is the safest way to do so? I have downloaded the kernel, core, modules, headers for 4.20.15-200 but when I try to install, I get a dependency error - " kernel-headers < 4.20.16-200.fc29 is obsoleted by (installed) kernel-headers-4.20.16-200.fc29.x86_64". I have 2 nics in this machine and the nic for my internal network is the Intel which has taken down my entire network.

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

After some more searching I discovered I could use 'dnf install' and point to the local files. I was able to downgrade but did not resolve my problem. It seems maybe my onboard nic has passed on. :(

Further to this, I have 2 lenovo systems with e1000e onboard nic cards that had the exact same issue. I don't think it's the nic but I have no idea what has broken the intel nic cards.

I have 2 instances of Fedora running on 2 different boxes, both with the e1000e nic. Both experience the hang error right after I reboot for the 4.10.16 kernel update.Maybe I will try going back 2 kernel versions although 1 previous was working.

You need to install the packages by hand:

rpm -ivh --oldpackage kernel*rpm

An don't forget to open a "urgent" bugreport on Bugzilla.!
