Hello, First time asking here.

I am running:

4.20.14-200.fc29 fedora29

Mozilla Firefox 65.0.2

Problem: While casually using firefox it randomly starts occupying my ssd( the activity LED constantly ON) to the point that the whole system freezes, i think happens only when the firefox window is actively used. Doesn't happen if firefox is not open.

What is the memory size? If there is a small amount of memory, there may be a case where the dynamic use of the hard disk increases. Even when the SSD is in a bad state or check ssd health status, you should check the hardware status as it can affect other operations. If you do not have a hardware problem, you may suspect other bugs or programs.
