Dual boot fedora with windows 10 - CPU stuck

asked 2019-03-10 15:14:30 -0600

Hello, I have windows 10 and I am trying for few days to install fedora and make it dual boot, everything is going fine until I am shutting down the fedora.

The second I press 'shutdown' or 'restart' it's just STUCK forever until I hard shutdown. I get sometimes errors says "watch dog: watch dog cpu stuck bla bla" and I am relating it to the stuck shutdown. I really don't know what could be the problem..

I have intel graphic card and NVIDIA but on Linux it says it uses my intel graphic card so I dont know if the problem is the NVIDIA.

I am lost, I installed fedora twice and still the same problem..

Please help me.

P.S. On installation I keep getting switch-repo-controller.service failed to start but I don;t think it's the problem

become user root. use journalctl -xe and search for "oops" . Do it before you reboot. IF you find something, it means a process crashed and took the kernel with it. In some cases the system autorecovers, but some corrupt the system and a restart will fail.

If you find something, you should open a bugreport at bugzilla for ANY different case you see (except it's always the same process ). Post the entire oops including the stacktrace at the end.
