Unable to boot after Xorg change

After installing Nvidia drivers I ran into problems with the screens not being in the right place even though I save my conf. I tried to fix this by editing the Xorg.conf file manually, only changing the order of monitors.

After reboot I've been unable to boot. Ctrl + Alt + F2 doesn't bring up a terminal and no splash isn't giving me information so I can't diagnose it. The Emergency kernel option in Grub doesn't work either. I've tried the kernel parameters 1, 3, rescue and emergency and nothing works.

boot a live dvd and see if you can revert the changes to your xorg.conf.
