F29 Problems with VirtualBox installation and repository
I've recently switched from Manjaro 18 to Fedora 29 - funnily enough mainly because of problems with VirtualBox -. After configuring most of the system to my liking, I tried to install VirtualBox, but encountered a few problems keeping me from getting it onto my machine.
First, I tried to add Oracles yum/dnf repo for VirtualBox. I added the repo according to this guide, however, it failed to synchronize. Then, I tried to install the package from the VB website locally through dnfdragora. It did not succeed since a dependency, libvpx.so.4, could not be found.
I will add that I am experiencing two obvious bugs which others have already reported with Fedora 29:
Alltough they probably (especially the first one) have got nothing to do with this.
Any advice?
Oracles repo doesn’t update that quick. Manually set it to ‘26’ instead of ‘releasever’ and you are good to go.
