I am trying to migrate from ubuntu to fedora, with no luck and are unsure how to proceed.

I have a Asus UX550V which have I had some trouble with graphic drivers while installing ubuntu, but installing fedora was not as easy.

By trial and error I found that I can't install using the live cd neither direct install, but I can install using the trobleshooting low graphic live cd mode.

I figured I could follow this guide:

to install the nvidia-390 drivers for the graphic card and somehow end up with a working installation.

But at the end of that guide, when I set runlevel 5 all generated initramfs, even the recue halts with the message:

tpm_crb MSFT0101:00: [Firmware Bug]: ACPI region does not cover the entire command/response buffer. [mem 0xfed40000-0xfed4087f flags 0x200] vs fed40080 f80

so I tried the accepted anwser here:

with no luck.

While in ubuntu:

$ lspci |grep -E "VGA|3D"

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Device 591b (rev 04) 01:00.0 3D controller: NVIDIA Corporation GP107M [GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Mobile] (rev a1)

I'm wondering how to proceed from here?

Did you add the Intel Kernel module to the blacklist?
