KDE Plasma wont login
I installed KDE Plasma, using dnf, on Fedora 28 workstation ( which used Gnome by default ). After installing, I rebooted and the system came up ( system is a desktop, not laptop ). At the login greeter ( GDM greeter? ), I click the gear icon and pick "Plasma". Then I click my user name, enter the password. Screen goes blank for 2-3 seconds and then returns to the greeter. I switch to gnome and login fine. I cannot find any errors in dmesg, journalctl, or any of the log files in /var/log
What is going on here? Note: I have SELINUX set to disabled in /etc/selinux/config so I am pretty sure SELINUX is not the cause here.
Thansk.
That's almost never advisable to do so. I recommend you enable it again and leave it that way. Disabling SELinux almost never solves any problems.
Maybe. It seems to be too restricitive but I have never used "PERMISSIBLE" mode. I'll give it a try.
"Permissive" effectively is disabling SELinux. It is not recommended either.
