Fedora 28 Nautilus doesn't drag and drop (X or Wayland)

I'm current on updates. Also launched Nautilus from terminal in Cinnamon, and no joy there either. Any ideas?

edit: also tried disabling all extensions in both X and Wayland, same result.

To be clear, you are selecting a file or two, and then "grabbing" the selection with the mouse cursor by holding down the left mouse button (for a right handed mouse configuration) and moving it to some location and releasing the mouse button? Or are you using the keyboard drag and drop gestures?

Yes, that's right. I can select single or multiple files/folders with the mouse; but it will not "grab" anything.

EDIT: Also, I've launched Nemo (Cinnamon file manager) while in Gnome, and drag and drop works fine. So ... it is isolated to Nautilus (and not Gnome in general).

Un-installed Nautilus and ran Bleachbit. Re-installed Nautilus. All is well again.

Not sure what happened.
