unable to upgrade fedora 26 to 28

my laptop is dual boot recently done and fedora 26 is working fine but when am upgrading its saying UNABLE TO UPGRADE TO FEDORA AS DOWNLOADED FILE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I followed the system upgrade instructions and upgraded successfully from 26 to 28. A few packages on my system caused trouble; rather than getting to the bottom of those problems, I just removed them, after which the upgrade went through smoothly.

In your case, it would help to know if you followed the system upgrade instructions, and what command(s) generated what error message(s).

To skip over two versions is not supported. You should try to upgrade first to Fedora 27 and then after a successfull upgrade go further to upgrade to Fedora 28. You can find detailed instructions under Fedora Magazine ( or read the Fedora documentation. I hope it will help you. Please keep in mind that every upgrade step must be on the latest stage of updates.

You can simply skip one release.
