Hello ,

I am typing this command dnf check-update and it displays the result as

abrt-addon-ccpp.x8664 2.10.10-1.fc28 updates abrt-addon-coredump-helper.x8664 2.10.10-1.fc28 updates abrt-addon-kerneloops.x86_64 2.10.10-1.fc28 updates ........................................... ..........................................

Is there a way to skip display of version number 2.10.10-1.fc28 ?

I want only this output to be shown

abrt-addon-ccpp.x8664
abrt-addon-coredump-helper.x86
64
abrt-addon-kerneloops.x86_64

What are you trying to do? Is is about setting up a local repo for your network?

I don't think you can change the output format of dnf check-upgrade but here is a workaround:

dnf repoquery --upgrade --queryformat '%{name}.%{arch}'
edit flag offensive delete link more
