dnf update error on glib2

any ideas? I considered removing glib2-devel, but it takes away a large number of dependent files, so I did not want to do that. Does anyone else have this same issue? Thanks.

It should not have a lot of dependent files, but you probably saw the effect of autoremove.

sudo dnf remove --noautoremove glibc-devel.i686

Also run

dnf mark install '*'

which marks every package as user installed, and should not be removed by autoremove.

still tries to remove 186 files totalling 644m if I try to remove glib2-devel

If you remove glib2-devel.i686 it should only remove development packages used for compiling 32-bit programs. If you need to compile a lot of 32-bit programs, you may need to wait for the bug to be fixed, so you can upgrade the 32-bit development libraries.

removed the .i686, took away 3 other dependencies, and let me do the update of the rest. When i try to install the glib2-devel.i686 I get the conflict error again, so will just wait.
