Hi !

I would like to know if VirtualBox is already installed in Fedora 28 KDE or no. If I do a:

" dnf list virtual* "

I understand that virtualbox-guest-additions are installed but not virtualbox...

so, if I do a : "sudo dnf install VirtualBox-5.2"
is it ok ?

or do I need to follow this procedure ? https://www.if-not-true-then-false.co...

Thanks.

Stephane.

In my understanding virtualbox-guest-additions come now pre-installed so that installing F28 inside VirtualBox will have them enabled, delivering a better user experience. You must still install VirtualBox in a Fedora 28 host.

“sudo dnf install VirtualBox-5.2" will install VirtualBox. You have to add Oracle’s VirtualBox repository before. See: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux...

Easiest is to copy .repo file to /etc/yum.repos.d/.

However, not sure if they have updated their repo for F28. (You may have to adapt repo file manually and use “27” instead of “$releasever”
