How to reverse Fedora 27 update

Hi, I have had problems with the Fedora 27 xfce spin 64 bit. When I got my last update it has screwed sections of xfce spin to make certain parts unusable.

The last time I had this a couple of weeks ago, so I installed Fedora 27 from scratch from the DVD.

Everything worked fine, until last night when further updates were downloaded, now I'm in exactly the same situation?

How can I reverse the last kernel updates, as I think this is what is causing the problem?

Hi, to use previous kernel, you can just choose it on GRUB boot screen (one of first things popping up after BIOS / manufacturer logo screen), there should be up to three versions available.

Use dnf history list for list of performed updates, dnf history info x for details of update x (where x is an ID of one of updates listed by previous command) and dnf history undo x to revert it. dnf downgrade package_name lets you install previous version of chosen package and dnf update --exclude=package_name lets you update everything except excluded package.

Those are instructions for temporary workarounds (reverting etc.), it's best to find the problem, report and get it fixed, to be able to safely stay up to date. Details from your question aren't enough for us to determine what's your issue, report it in separate question.

What's the size of Fedora 28, when trying to update from 27.

I think ~1,2 GB to download, but you need to have fully updated system. In your case you're better of doing a clean install. While you're at it, don't install adobe reader and flash player unless you really really have to. It might be the adobe reader that's braking your system while there are lots of free and safe PDF viewers and flash player is fortunately dying (it's used on less than 5% web pages).

Values from first column (ID) is what you need to use as x from my answer.

This piece of additional information could go into your question, not as an answer to your question.

ID 13 was an update. To see whether kernel was updated, run sudo dnf history info 13. You can undo as well. But if you suspect the kernel to cause a problem, you can simply boot an older kernel from the boot menu and see if the problems persist.

Unfortunately, your question does not provide any information on what is not working anymore. So, unless you provide detailed information, everything is a guess.
