Have unallocated space of around 75 GIB, but it says space not available.

How many partitions are there on your hard disk? In general, you can only have four primary partitions, but one of them can be an extended partition that contains as many logical partitions as you want.

You could install the Fedora /boot partition on a small usb key and still install the /root to the hdd. And set the pc bios to boot from usb before hdd. Then when you want to boot Fedora you just put the usb key in before you start the pc.

I think you mean the / partition, as /root is only a regular directory and root's home. And, if the OP could do that, he wouldn't have had to ask for help, would he?
