Fedora 28 Beta
I've been a Fedora enthusiast for many years and have never participated in the Beta program until now. The look and feel has not changed and that's a good thing. The following items are what I have found so far:
1) Performance is slow compared to 27. When I move my mouse or try to type there is a higher than normal delay. 2) It doesn't play well as a VM. 3) It's resource intensive as compared to 27. 1.5GB and 60% CPU usage in addition to it tripping Psensor's thermal sensors for max CPU and Graphics temps for my hardware.
I will continue my testing and report any additional findings via email as 28 thinks it's running fine therefore I cant send you a bug report.
Maybe is slower because it is Beta?
I think the delay when moving your mouse is because you are using it in a vm. The 60% cpu usage isn't normal though afaik.
I am using the XFCE spin of Fedora 28 installed to SSD drve, and I have noticed very low resource use and quick speed. HTOP is showing just under 700mb RAM in use with Firefox running (1 tab). If you are on a VM, maybe try a different spin ? At least that would help sort out if it is an issue with Gnome
