# Fedora 27 KDE crashes

I installed today Fedora 27 ( The ISO with KDE Desktop environment ) and one thing i noticed is after the updates were installed KDE crashed.

I restarted it and after that it was working fine but i powered up my computer now and the session couldnt start.. i was seeing the KDE loading logo and i was hearing sound in the background, so i went to the cli and started the xserver again.

My GPU is a Sapphire R9 380X and cpu is ryzen 5 1500x. Ask me if you need any logs cause i dont know where to start.

Also i have 2 monitors. When the system starts it automatically displays ONLY the second monitor for the login screen and when i login the primary monitor opens. I tried to disable the second monitor so i can enable it only when i need it but it doesn't keep the setting.. could this be the problem? I unplugged the second monitor and i think it boots faster now into fedora.

Thanks

Try starting system with amdgpu.dc=1kernel parameter. It's a new display stack for newer AMD GPUs, with kernel 4.17 it'll be the default one.
