Does it work again after you reboot or do you have to reinstall? Try to keep a terminal window open running sudo journalctl -fa. Then when it happens, hopefully you can switch to the terminal window and see if there are any useful messages about what happened. It might be helpful to know what the computer is as well.

We would need some error messages, log file contents, or specifics about what does and does not work. I have F27 running on my Lenovo Flex 5 laptop with an SSD replacing the original hard drive. It has worked flawlessly for about a year.

Is the mouse still working? Can you interact with the application windows that are already open at the time? If so, then try my suggestion to see if you can get more information about what is happening.
