Issues joinging Active Directory Domain
With either Gnome-initial-setup or realm, I get a message similar to the following.
[root@mypc dev]# realm join mydomain -U myadaccount
Password for myadaccount:
See: journalctl REALMD_OPERATION=r72601.5233
realm: Couldn't join realm: cannot update repo 'updates': Cannot prepare internal mirrorlist: Curl error (28): Timeout was reached for https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/met... [Connection timed out after 30002 milliseconds]
All the Domain Controllers can be pinged and realm can discover the domain (AD 2012R2 functional level). The PC is configured for DHCP. I've tried this on a Lenovo T520 Laptop (UEFI) and a Lenovo M77 (Legacy BIOS)
This is a catch 22 for me. I need domain access for internet access on the corporate LAN. If the computer is put on a direct internet connection, it cannot be connected to the business LAN and so cannot see/join the domain. Can anyone help me join my active directory domain? Also, why does realm insist on going out to the internet to join the domain?
