Gnome crashes when ever I want to use my dvd drive

Gnome crashes instantly when I want to read of my dvd drive and falls back to the login screen. The dvd drive works under Windows. I'm using Fedora 27 fully updated.

What file are you trying to read from your dvd? If you try to access the same file from the terminal, does it show any error?

I disabled the Places Status Indicator extension and now everything is working properly.
