Installing Fedora on My Hard Drive

Will Installing Fedora from my Flash Drive to my Hard drive partition the Hard Drive to run both Operating Systems , Windows & Linux ? Or will it delete the Windows operating system and Wipe my Hard drive clean for Linux Install ? RSVP - Thanks.

You can keep both, your Windows installation and Fedora. Before you start the installer from the Live system, it is advisable to provide free space on your hard disk where Fedora should be installed. Fedora will install a boot manager (called grub2) which will let you select the OS to be booted on startup.

In case there is not enough free space for Fedora (50 GB+), use your existing Windows installation to shrink existing partitions and free up some space for Fedora.

And of course, since things can go wrong, especially when you are doing this for the first time, make sure you have a backup of all valuable data - just in case.

You can always drop a new HD in your system for the Linux OS.
