It takes too long to show gnome login prompt when opening the laptop lid

When opening laptop lid (after suspending) It takes up to a minutes before gnome password prompt is shown. The display shows the lock screen background but cannot do anything (no sliding, the battery/sound icons are not responding). Then after few moments its unfreezes and everything is back to normal. Sometimes if it takes too long I press ctrl+alt+F3 to show the command line prompt, and then ctrl+alt+f1 and it speeds up the recovery process.

Please advice how to diagnose the problem.

Problem occurs on laptop with Fedora 27 after update from Fedora 26 (which worked fine).

Ok, this is the dmesg. There is nothing updated in /var/log durign that time. The last updated log is dnf.log and hwkey.log

Hello,

Check in dmesg, or in the /var/log folder see which logs get updated after login time stamp,

See your memory usage and swap. post here, hope we can find a fix.

Hello,

I am not sure because I don't have F27 install yet to check this issue, but it could be related to some driver's issue,

We need some with more expertise so they can tell you what logs they might need to solve this issue.

I try to find something that's might help you.

Try not to mount that when you reboot, try doing it manually I think there is an option you can set it to mount after reboot or hibernate.

I will check that or you can google it meanwhile.

It may be coincidence, but the last time when there was significant freeze (around 2 minutes) I noticed that in the dmesg log there is timeout message from the samba mounts for the same amount of time.
