I have a infrared camera/sensor built into my laptop which is used for face recognition in Windows using Windows Hello. Is there a way to make use of the hardware in fedora to login into Fedora.
I am using Fedora 27 64 bit version with Linux kernel 4.13.13-300.fc27.x86_64
output of uname -a Linux lovepreetpc 4.13.13-300.fc27.x8664 #1 SMP Wed Nov 15 15:47:50 UTC 2017 x8664 x8664 x8664 GNU/Linux
If you can configure the camara on Fedora, try using it with cheese. The you can try kf5-libkface and look at this https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.p... may give you pointers of what you may need to do.
are you certain the drivers for the hardware are installed?
Where can I get the drivers for infrared sensor?
Try the manufacture web site, look for the linux kernel module
