I killed my old Linux, then I installed new, now I have problems to install some programs I had before. Before I made some backup, like the .bash_history where I can see, that it worked already.

Now when I type sudo dnf install mkv or sudo dnf install ffmpeg

I get only the message, that this package is not available. I made the update/upgrade and updated the rpmdb but there is no change to see. What can I do to provide this features?

OS: Fedora 25

Install the RPM Fusion repositories both free and non-free for your Fedora 25 distribution:

sudo dnf install$(rpm -E %fedora).noarch.rpm$(rpm -E %fedora).noarch.rpm

Then update and install your packages:

sudo dnf update
sudo dnf install ffmpeg mkv

ffmpeg and mkv are non-free packages and they are not present in the default Fedora repo.
