Problems booting Fedora 26 after update
Last week I installed some updates for my Fedora 26 installation (fedora-workstation), among these was also a kernel update (new kernel version: 4.13.9-200.fc26.x8664, updated from: 4.13.5-200.fc26.x8664). Ever since these updates I am having some strange problems when trying to boot Fedora.
Whenever I try to boot Fedora from a powered-off system or when rebooting from Fedora, the boot process gets stuck at a black screen immediately after selecting the Fedora entry in the grub2 selection screen (both the newest kernel entry and all the older installed kernels exhibit this problem). I don't even get to the loading screen with the Fedora logo, it just immediately freezes. But when I first boot Windows (I have a dual boot set up with Windows 10), reboot and then choose the Fedora entry, it boots without any problems.
I really have to reboot from Windows to get Fedora to boot. If I boot into Windows, shut down the pc, turn it on again and then try to boot Fedora, it also freezes.
Does anybody have any idea what could be causing this or how I might troubleshoot it? I unfortunately can't supply you with any error messages, because there aren't any (or at least I don't know where to find them).
