Why does F26 not support AMD oxf CPU

I have tried installing 4,11,8-300.Fc26.x8664 on 2 different machines. When the machine is booted, and a password is entered, the machine freezes; only the hard reset and power off buttons work. I have done a alt-ctl-f2 BEFORE entering the password and run journlctl, several errors were found: microcode AMD CPU family 0xf not supported, ACPI exception AENOTFOUND, (Firmware Bug) no PSB or ACPIPSS objects, Bug unable to handle kernel pacing request. The only things the two machines have in common is running AMD Athlon CPU, one a single and the other a dual core.

similar issue on my system, though not as drastic. if you find a bios entry in the motherboard for C1E and set it to disabled, that might help. Also make sure cool n quiet is enabled so the kernel acpi can pick up the performance details of the processor. HTH

Could be a graphics problem. What is/are your graphics cards? If I've understood correctly, you can reach the login screen. right?
