I am trying to configure fedora into virtual machine. Everytime I try to create a path between the two I get this error message: fedora this kernel requires an x86-64 cpu but only detected an i686 cpu. I have tried downloading the 64bit because my computer has that configuration but still doesnt work.

Which virtual machine hosting environment are you you using? KVM? VirtualBox? Something else?

Are you sure that you are running a 64 bit operating system on your machine?

Which operating system are you running on your host machine?

Verify that you have enabled the VT features at your BIOS.
