My desktop cannot install Fedora 17 64-bit, although it will happily install the 32-bit version. I can install and run Windows 7 64-bit on this machine, so I am reluctant to think it is a hardware problem.

Motherboard is ASUS M4A78LT-M BIOS is 0802 which I think is latest version.

Processor Phenom II X4 B60

10GB RAM, brand new HD

Won't install in basic graphics mode either, with similar message. Media check shows no problem. Memtest 4.1 shows no problem.

Error message says:

BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at 000000006e036068

Any ideas, please? I have photo of screen, if that would help.
