Font Nimbus Roman not fond in LibreOffice in Fedora 26

asked 2017-08-08 23:40:53 -0600

I am using Nimbus Roman No9 L to write paper, and I cannot find this font in Libreoffice.

I have tried logging into Fedora 26 Live and opening a LibreOffice writer window, searching the font. I am sure that Nimbus Roman No9 L is installed, as it is shown when changing the fonts of Gedit.

Nimbus Roman is a standard font included with Fedora. Not sure what you mean by "No9 L".

If using the Gnome interface, press the "windows key" and type font to see what fonts are installed on the system. Otherwise access the command line and type fc-match -a Nimbus-Roman | grep Nimbus | grep Roman to search installed fonts. On my Fedora 27 system, this produces:

NimbusRoman-Regular.otf: "Nimbus Roman" "Regular"
NimbusRoman-Regular.t1: "Nimbus Roman" "Regular"
NimbusRoman-Bold.otf: "Nimbus Roman" "Bold"
NimbusRoman-Bold.t1: "Nimbus Roman" "Bold"
NimbusRoman-Italic.otf: "Nimbus Roman" "Italic"
NimbusRoman-Italic.t1: "Nimbus Roman" "Italic"
NimbusRoman-BoldItalic.otf: "Nimbus Roman" "Bold Italic"
NimbusRoman-BoldItalic.t1: "Nimbus Roman" "Bold Italic"
